- Upon review, you will receive communication from the Shakopee Facilities Office regarding your request.

Facility Fees and Tier Structure
Individuals and groups using school district facilities will be assessed a facility use charge, and may be assessed additional services and/or equipment charges. Each renter will also be required to provide liability insurance specifically naming Shakopee Public Schools as an ‘additional insured’.
The full breakdown of facility and staffing fees can be found here. Classification into one of the following categories will determine fees charged:Tier 1 groups:

Local school groups (out-of-season practices/training)
-
Shakopee Youth Associations (except for Shakopee Youth Associations in Tier 2)
-
Local non-profit youth groups (except for non-profit youth groups in Tier 2)
-
Local non-profit adult groups (except for non-profit adult groups in Tier 2)
-
Local non-profit educational organizations
-
Local government units as well as local, state, and national election polls and caucuses.
Tier 2 groups:
-
Local school groups (out-of-season camps/fundraising activities)
-
Shakopee Youth Associations, local non-profit youth groups and local non-profit adult groups conducting fundraising activities, hosting events with admission charges, or other for-profit events

Local non-profit youth groups ran by separate individuals, including AAU
-
Local churches and religious organizations
-
Non-local non-profit organizations conducting training or events that serve the local community.
Tier 3 groups:

Local for-profit youth groups
-
Local for-profit adult groups
-
Other K-12 schools and school organizations
-
Colleges and universities
-
Non-local, non-profit youth groups
-
Non-local, non-profit adult groups
Tier 4 groups are considered individuals, businesses, and organizations (including churches) located outside the Shakopee Public School District who do not meet the non-profit/charitable criteria.
A group is considered local under this procedure if at least one of the following apply:

The organization named on the permit is located within the Shakopee Public School District
-
The event’s participants are at least 55% residents of the Shakopee Public School District

Building Hours
Building hours are set by the Shakopee Public School District. All facility use is required to be scheduled during the building hours. Any requests outside of those hours will be subject to availability and additional staffing fees.
